Rion Moran |

Prior to establishing Moran & Associates, Rion Moran was Senior Vice President for Bowman & Associates in San Francisco specializing in executive search for the hospitality industry. Because of his extensive background in sales, marketing and development, approximately 80% of his assignments since 1992 have been for general management, finance, and senior sales and marketing management positions.Clients served include luxury resorts and golf course communities from the Caribbean to Hawaii, convention hotels from Atlanta to San Francisco and corporate executive positions from New York to Los Angeles. |
Before earning his Bachelor's degree at Washington State University, Rion served as 1st Lieutenant in the U.S. Army including an assignment as Instructor of Leadership and Tactics at West Point. He began his hospitality career with Hyatt Hotels and served as Director of Sales in Seattle, WA, Birmingham, AL and Orlando, FL. Rion then joined Americana Hotels as Director of Marketing at the Canyon Hotel in Palm Springs, and was later promoted to Corporate Director of Sales & Marketing over nine resort properties. Before entering the executive search profession, Rion served as Vice President of Sales & Development for White Lodging Services. |

In the hospitality industry since 1988, including a degree in Hotel/Restaurant Administration from Washington State University, Ken brings a diverse wealth of knowledge, experience and understanding to the executive search profession. His background involves three major hotel chains, Marriott, Hilton and Radisson, as well as independent hotels, resorts & country clubs. |
His career began in operations, including front office & food and beverage, before evolving to a sales, marketing and revenue management path. His executive level responsibilities involved him with property owners, management companies and brand corporate offices. Ken currently resides in Seattle, Washington with his wife and three children. |
